Manu Pillai
Senior Director of Business Development and Sales

Manu is responsible for business development and sales activities in the surveillance and transportation markets. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in corporate and business development, sales, marketing, product development and program management at both start-ups and Fortune 500 firms.

Prior to Nethra, Manu was responsible for sales and marketing at GDA Technology, a custom design and manufacturing company. Manu held key roles in mobile computer development at Fujitsu PC Corporation and helped grow the team from 6 to over 120 engeneers between 1995 and 1999. Prior to Fujitsu PC, he was at Solectron where he was responsible for functional test automation and development for embedded systems including RF and video systems in CATV and video conferencing. He worked for Mitsubishi Electric and its affiliate companies in R&D and field support in surveillance, access control and intelligent building systems in Japan, India and the UAE. Manu started a private company focused on rapid time to market EDA tools which generated sales and partnership with customers such as Pixim and TI in product development for wireless IP cameras, DSL repeaters and custom algorithm driven software for DFM applications.

Manu holds as bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from University College in Dublin, Ireland, and an MBA from Santa Clara University, California.
