Prasad Ponnaganti
VP of Engineering, Imaging, Software & Systems

Prasad is responsible for the development of imaging algorithms, firmware, and software tools at Nethra. Prasad has over 25 years of experience in the electronics industry designing CCD and CMOS cameras and systems for scientific, industrial and consumer applications. He has a versatile background, from R&D, product design, to mass production. Prasad is experienced in managing offshore development and production of camera modules. Prior to joining Nethra, Prasad was director of Advanced Technology at VistaPoint / Flextronics, where he led the development of AF and Zoom camera modules for tier 1 handset customers, from RFQ stage to mass production, including the 2MP AF camera for Sony Ericsson's P990i smart phone. Prior to VistaPoint, Prasad held various engineering and management positions at KLA-Tencor, EG&G Reticon, Obsidian Imaging, Exponent, Ampex, Shugart and the Indian Space Research Organization.

Prasad holds a bachelor's degree from Madras University and a master's degree from IIT Bombay, both in electronics and communication engineering. He pursued graduate studies as part of the VLSI consortium, at the University of Washington in Seattle.
