V.R. Ranganath

Most recently, V.R. Ranganath was the president of Alliance Ventures. He has made a number of investments in high-technology start-up companies, including Magma Design Automation (LAVA), Platys Communications (acquired by ADPT), Maverick Networks (acquired by BRCM), Orologic Corporation (acquired by VTSS), and Malleable Technologies (acquired by PMCS). V.R. has over 20 years experience in system and semiconductor management and marketing.

These include positions at Sun Microsystems, Advance Micro Devices, IDT and Synertek. V.R. was a founding member of Nazomi Communications and currently holds seats on the boards of several high-technology start-ups.

V.R. holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Bangalore University in India and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Utah State University.
