Who We Are
Nethra Imaging is a semiconductor and systems company focused on delivering video and imaging solutions across the signal chain, from capture, processing, storage and transport to display. Nethra addresses the broadcast, movie, medical, and surveillance markets with its highly-differentiated silicon and board products. We use proprietary algorithms to build flexible, fully programmable image processors, video processors, reliable data transport and storage systems and related products. Located in Santa Clara, California, we are privately-held and since our founding in 2003, we have developed scalable image processing solutions for a variety of video and multimedia applications.

In recent years, the move to higher image resolutions and increasing video frame rates have created the need for integrated circuits and systems that must process and transport ever increasing volumes of data at faster speeds with increased data integrity requirements. Our Solutions
Our highly scalable real-time image processing solutions provide high performance pixel processing at low power for mass adoption in multiple imaging and video applications. We have also developed a range of processing engines for compression, display, connectivity interfaces, and storage. Our scalable H.264 compression engine that combines low power, intelligent buffering and sophisticated encoding with low latency is now moving to general availability.
Our leading edge scalable Massively Parallel Processor Array (MPAA) solutions are high-performance, software-programmable ICs which offer robust media and signal processing capabilities with the added advantage of quick time-to-market. In addition, our high-speed switch-fabric technology gives wide-area high data throughput with very low latency and high reliability.

We have developed and acquired differentiated core technologies to leverage our products in the areas of imaging, compression, video processing, parallel processing, storage and high-speed data transfer. The proprietary algorithms that drive our technologies are key differentiating elements against competing solutions. We have several patents granted and many more pending in our core areas of expertise.

Our team is comprised of individuals with significant experience in the video, graphics, imaging, networking and storage industries, who over the years have delivered several million chips as well as various computer architectures and related systems to leading OEMs globally. We have the expertise and the confidence in knowing what it takes to build and deliver complete silicon, software and systems solutions. Our team is well-supported with a solid infrastructure that facilitates the development of multiple silicon, systems and software based products in parallel.
