Job Title: Firmware Engineer

Job Description:
- Applicant should have experience developing embedded real-time software for consumer handheld devices and designing and developing software interfaces.
- Working knowledge of digital imaging, digital video, JPEG, MPEG, digital still and digital video cameras is a definite plus.
- Thorough knowledge of embedded C
- Excellent verbal, written and documentation skills are also required.
- Experience with embedded processors (preferably Tensilica's Diamond Standard 108Mini and ARM7/9)
- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Self managing and willing to take on large and complex tasks
- Ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks
- Enjoy being in the critical path and work on customer issue directly
Work experience requirements:
- Experience in Embedded Systems, embedded RTOS's, development tools for embedded systems
- Experience in bringing up embedded platforms
Responsibilities:
As an embedded firmware engineer you will work on our Embedded Firmware team to bring-up systems and add/enhance imaging solutions for handheld consumer electronics. This will involve using firmware development tools such as compilers, linkers, debuggers, logic anallyzer scopes, etc. and help support our customers.
Education Requirements:
An ideal applicant will possess a BS/MSCS or equivalent with a minimum of 5 to 10 years experience.
