Job Title: Sr. Application Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA

Job duties:
Responsible for software and system architecture and tools development. Responsible for software development cycle involving use of in-house debugging and development tools as well as third party tools (compilers, assembler and debuggers); work with Linux and Windows driver development kits, and various version control systems and bug tracking tools. Test hardware using protocol analyzers for complex interfaces involving electronics and digital circuits. Will use software tools and in-circuit emulators. Will perform system design and algorithm porting; and have responsibility for day to day resource and project management activities involved in the lab. Requires 20% travel.

Required:

• Master's degree, or equivalent, in Electronics or Computer Engineering (Will accept bachelor's degree + five years of experience as equivalent)
• Coursework in algorithms and digital electronics
• Design, develop and deliver high quality embedded software for graphic and video controller ASIC; chip functional validation and board bring-up; design and implement algorithm for automatic input signal detection and mode identification; develop in-house debug utility; design and develop embedded sw for digital video receiver chipset; develop RF & Baseband subsystem firmware; develop time critical bootup code in assembly.
